New Canaan CARES will present its 16th annual Kitchen Tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 15. Seven kitchens in New Canaan houses are featured, and in many cases attendees will be allowed to view the entire first floor. This year's luncheon and boutique will be held in a renovated house "where the grace and beauty of a bygone era blend with the luxuries and amenities of today," according to organizers. Also featured are a renovated house planned, built and decorated according to the principles of Feng Shui; a residence where American Craftsman meets Asian Zen to create a simple, functional, relaxing environment; an in-town, family-focused Victorian; a spacious Nantucket style that blends indoor and outdoor living; a well-known colonial with Edwardian influences, and CARES first interior designer showcase home. read more
