If you want fast, free, and easy Feng Shui results, here are a couple of tips for you! There is just one catch. There is some reading involved. But if you can read a cereal box, then you can read this article.
Feng Shui is affecting your life whether you use it or not. Most people think learning all about Feng Shui is complicated and complex. Take it from someone that has studied for years and has obtained Practitioner status, they're right, it is! However here are a couple of simple ways to start utilizing this time tested powerful practice in your life right now. You won't have to take a course, hire a consultant, or read a complex books. What message is your space already sending? How is it affecting you?
Step One: Take Out The Trash
This may sound like a no brainer, but let's explore the concept. Far to often there is a trash can sitting out in full view in the kitchen. Important: the kitchen is an area that relates to your abundance. These unsightly receptacles of disgusting things are usually in full view of where you cook, people gather, and where you eat. Most of the time the lid has long since been abandoned and it's overflowing with stinky stuff.
This is one of the most harmful things for your abundance and one of the easiest things to fix. Get a small trash can that fits under the kitchen sink or use a pantry to stow it if you must. Empty it often. For extra karma points, make sure you recycle everything you can. Then you trash will not fill up near as often.
People say "How can I get by with such a small trash can in the kitchen?" I say sure you can. It is easier to take out the trash daily, or even tie up smaller bags more than once a day than to let a stinking pile of garbage accumulate in a larger can out in the open and then struggle to get it taken out without making a big mess. Take my word for it, get the little can and get it out of sight and smell range.Your quality of life will improve and your health and abundance will improve!
Step Two: Where Is The Front Door?
This is a given standard lecture you'll get from every Feng Shui Consultant, but it is worth repeating. The front door is literally the mouth through which chi enters your home. All energy that circulates through your home is affected by the condition of your entrance. Spice this area up inside and out.
Let's look at another aspect of this. Is your front entrance the main door utilized? For many people it isn't. We often use another door instead, like a side door or garage entrance. If this is your preference, that's okay. I've seen so many garage entrances that are the main "gate" to the home and are crowded with stacks and bags of stuff, discarded coats and shoes, and often a bag of trash that hasn't made it to the bin yet. Whichever entrance you use most, make it look and feel great.
When company comes to your home, or business for that matter, do they automatically choose the correct door? Have you made it clear where to go? This may sound like another no brainer, but I recently went to a family gathering only to find myself being rerouted to a back door because they "don't use the front door." They actually had furniture in front of it on the inside and no way of being able to open it. How could a new visitor ever know this? Even if you don't us your front door, please make it work!
If you absolutely prefer not to use the front entrance, make sure a guest does not feel confused about which door to go to. Using nothing more than your common sense and some creativity you can fix this feng shui fopaux. Stand at the curb and look at the front of your house or business as a stranger would see it. Use items you already have on hand to enhance the path and door you would like your guests to use. In this way you will attract energy into your home or business that is clear and free of frustration or confusion.
Bonus Feng Shui Tip: Use the front entrance yourself at least part of the time, even once a month. When you do make sure to feel abundant and blessed that you have this space at your command as you walk through the door.
These steps are simple, but don't underestimate them. They have a powerful affect on your life. Remember: It is not possible for the energy in your home to not have an affect on you.
