How The Use Of Feng Shui Elements Can Make Your Life Feel Better

Feng shui is based on the theory that everything in life has an energy. This applies not only to living things but also to inanimate objects. Feng shui elements that are properly placed can help to balance your life.

Science states that everything whether alive or not is made up of atoms. These atoms are not still but are in constant motion. The continual motion of these atoms creates energy, although none of this can be seen by the naked eye.

The idea of feng shui is to create harmony and balance in a persons life. It involves placing every object in a house or work environment in a particular position. This helps to create a flow of positive energy. The positive energy is chi, the force of life which when everything is correctly placed can then flow around an area without being interrupted.

There are different parts of chi. Two parts of it are yin and yang which oppose each other and so need to be balanced. The other parts are the five elements which are wood, metal, water, fire and earth. These elements need to be placed where they cannot act against each other.

The different elements all have different properties. Water can symbolize wealth and prosperity if it is contained in a fountain, but if it is being wasted by running away in a sink or toilet then it can symbolize money quite literally going down the drain. Wood can help to promote creative thoughts, so placing wooden objects in specific position around the home can help to inspire creativity.

Metal is an energetic element that is said to promote energy, so someone who is feeling tired or lethargic could try placing metal objects around the place to promote more activity. Some people wear a copper bangle to help them feel more active and energetic. Having too much metal around can also be a bad thing as it would be a negative thing to try to build up a lot of energy.

The element of fire promotes passion as well as energy. The earth as you might expect is solid and trustworthy. A room should not be dominated by just one element as they all need to work together. Feng shui elements are meant to balance each other. A room or space where all the elements are correctly balanced will feel like a nice place to be in as it will feel harmonious.
